PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for the high expression production of filamentous fungus-originated FAD-GDH excellent in substrate specificity with a recombinant: to provide an FAD-GDH protein obtained by the method: and to provide a glucose measurement reagent using the protein.

SOLUTION: The method for the recombinant production of FAD-dependent glucose dehydrogenase originated from Aspergillus terreus with Escherichia coli includes: expressing, in the Escherichia coli, a gene encoding a variant type FAD-dependent glucose dehydrogenase obtained by deleting a signal peptide containing the amino acid sequence region of MLGKLSFLSALSLAVAA existing in the N-terminal region of the amino acid sequence of FAD-dependent glucose dehydrogenase originated from Aspergillus terreus registered as Accession No.NBRC 33026.
