<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To compensate distance offsets due to pulse compressions of a target on a reduced hardware scale. <P>SOLUTION: A pulse compression device includes: a distributor 101 for distributing a digitalized radar reception signal to a plurality of channels; a reference signal generator 104 for generating reference signals for each Doppler frequency of a predetermined speed in the direction of a sight line with respect to the channels; pulse compressors 103 for performing pulse compressions of the distributed reception signals with the reference signals; target detectors 105 for detecting target signals from the output signals of the pulse compressors; a correlation data extractor 106 for extracting pieces of data on signals of a target presumed as one and the same by correction for a distance offset of each channel; a peak detector 107 for finding a Doppler frequency corresponding to a peak value of an approximation curve of a graph representing the plurality of pieces of data, which is obtained by curve fitting of each plot on the graph whose axis of abscissa represents a Doppler frequency and axis of ordinate represents an amplitude value of each channel; and a correction value calculation device 108 for finding a target speed corresponding to the Doppler frequency, and calculating a distance offset due to the pulse compressions to find a distance correction value. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
