摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for measuring a coefficient of earth pressure at rest of ground, which enable the coefficient of earth pressure at rest of the ground and vertical and horizontal stress as its basis to be accurately measured in situ. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A change of load pressure and that of generated pore water pressure are simultaneously measured while the load pressure is gradually increased in a horizontal direction through a probe on a hole wall at a measurement object depth of a test hole drilled in the ground; and a value of the pore water pressure at a time point when the pore water pressure settles at a maximum value is set as total vertical stress as basic data of the coefficient of earth pressure at rest. Furthermore, total horizontal stress as the basic data of the coefficient of earth pressure at rest is determined from the load pressure at this time point; and the coefficient of earth pressure at rest is determined on the basis of the vertical stress and the horizontal stress.
