The method involves fixing a region (14) on a surface of products (1), where the region is suitable for testing a condition of the product and/or is unsuitable for testing outside condition. Clearly identifiable characteristic (13) is detected with a camera (6) before testing each product. Orientation of the product compared to environment is determined by a data processing unit (8). Testing process of the condition of the product is executed in the region using measuring devices (11, 12). An independent claim is also included for a device for testing a condition of a product during a production process.
