The regulator (1) has a jet regulator housing with a housing interior (3) whose width is greater than that of the depth. A jet divider (4) is provided in the housing interior and comprises throughflow openings (5, 6). The jet divider is formed in a funnel-shape such that an outlet-sided arranged funnel base forms a baffle surface. The throughflow openings are provided at one of funnel walls. The throughflow openings lead into a liquid channel (9) that taper in sections in a direction of flow. The liquid channel is limited by the jet divider.
