PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving support device for enabling a driver to prevent the collision of a self-vehicle without feeling any sense of incompatibility only by achieving driving support only in necessary situations. SOLUTION: The driving support device 1 for achieving collision avoidance control for avoiding the collision of an obstacle with a self-vehicle C includes a prediction part 22 for predicting whether or not a self-vehicle C decelerates based on traffic light information related with a traffic light S ahead of the self-vehicle C; and a control part 23 for suppressing the execution of the collision avoidance control when deceleration is predicted. When the deceleration of the self-vehicle C is predicted, the execution of the collision avoidance control is suppressed. Thus, it is possible to achieve the collision avoidance control as traveling support only in necessary situations based on the traffic light information just like it is possible to suppress the collision avoidance control in situations that it is predicted that the execution of the collision avoidance control is unnecessary since the deceleration of the self-vehicle C is predicted.
