<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image carrier having a constitution in which a charging process causing generation of ozone, nitrogen oxide (NOx), or the like, is eliminated and electrostatic latent image formation having high electric potential contrast is performed, and to provide an image forming method and an image-forming apparatus that uses the carrier. <P>SOLUTION: The image carrier is used in image formation and an electrostatic latent image is formed thereon. The image carrier includes a structure in which at least a photosensitive layer 2; an upper electrode (upper electrode formed in a random pattern, a stripe shape, or a lattice shape and formed so as to cover the surface of the photosensitive layer with a prescribed pattern) 3 including a part covering the photosensitive layer 2 and a part not covering the photosensitive layer; and a protective layer 5 covering the surface of the image carrier including the upper electrode 3 are stacked, in the order on a conductive support 1; and at irradiation by a light for latent image formation, the latent image is formed by applying a bias to the upper electrode 3. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
