<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical amplifier which can realize rapid output control. <P>SOLUTION: This optical amplifier includes a first photoelectrically converting device 21 which inputs a branched light S<SB>m1</SB>, converts into a current, according to the intensity of the branched light S<SB>m1</SB>to generate a first optical detection signal S<SB>g1</SB>and outputs the first optical detection signal S<SB>g1</SB>; a first current-voltage converting circuit 25, which converts the first optical detection signal S<SB>g1</SB>between a current and a voltage to create a second optical detection signal S<SB>g2</SB>and outputs the second optical detection signal S<SB>g2</SB>; and a first ASE correcting part 31, which inputs the second optical detection signal S<SB>g2</SB>, carries out an analog correction based on a natural release amplified light generating in an optical fiber 6, creates a third optical detection signal S<SB>g3</SB>, and outputs the third optical detection signal S<SB>g3</SB>. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
