<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing device capable of suppressing variation of an amount of developer to be conveyed to a development area while suppressing the occurrence of aggregated toner on the back surface of a developer layer thickness-controlling member without providing a complicated mechanism, and to provide an image forming apparatus with the same. <P>SOLUTION: In the developing device 4 having a developing sleeve 103 used as a developer carrier which is rotatably arranged at a position opposite to a photoreceptor drum 2 used as an image carrier, and a control blade 102 used as a control member for controlling layer thickness of the developer formed in the developing sleeve 103, the control blade 102 has an inclined surface 102a so that a gap G with the developing sleeve 103 becomes narrower toward the downstream side in a developer conveyance direction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
