PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To run a vehicle safely by effectively preventing turn-off of a contactor caused by false detection of failure in an apparatus. SOLUTION: A power supply for a vehicle includes: a battery 1 for running which supplies power to a motor 22 for running the vehicle, a contactor 2 connected to an output side of the battery 1 for running, and a battery controller 4 which controls on/off of the contactor 2 and turns off the contactor 2 by detecting a failure of an apparatus. The battery controller 4 is equipped with a timer 14 which starts counting when a failure of an apparatus is detected. In the power supply for a vehicle, the battery controller 4 detects a failure of an apparatus and the timer 14 starts counting, and the battery controller 4 turns off the contactor 2 when a failure of an apparatus is detected upon time-up of the timer 14 ti.
