PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for filter, a liquid ejection head and a liquid ejector reduced in cost. SOLUTION: With the manufacturing method for a filter, a plurality of through-holes are formed on a processed plate 51 laid on member 60 to be punched using a punch 57 and the member 60 to be punched. The member 60 to be punched includes a container 58 and an electroviscous fluid 59 held in the container 58. With the manufacturing method concerned, a plurality of through-holes are formed in the processed plate 51 by the way of arranging the processed part of the processed plate 51 on the electroviscous fluid 59, and of punching the processed plate 51 with the punch 57 by applying a voltage to the electroviscous fluid 59, and of making the electroviscous fluid 59 hold the punch piece.
