PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluid injection device and the like capable of removing properly a fluid not shot onto a medium, out of the fluid injected from a head. SOLUTION: This fluid injection device includes the head for injecting the fluid toward the medium, a conveying part for conveying the medium along a conveying direction, an ejection part for ejecting the gas toward the medium, provided with an ejection port toward the medium in a downstream of the head in the conveying direction, to make the ejection port movable along the conveying direction, and a gas suction part for sucking gas ejected by the ejection part, together with the fluid not shot onto the medium, out of the medium injected from the head, provided with a suction port for the gas in a downstream of the head in the conveying direction.
