<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a titanium oxide particle dispersion liquid wherein titanium oxide particles do not aggregate, do not precipitate and are stable, and exhibit high photocatalytic activity and a method for manufacturing the titanium oxide particle dispersion liquid, and to provide a photocatalyst structure which comprises the titanium oxide particles in the titanium oxide particles being supported on a porous substrate, in which the titanium oxide particles hardly exfoliates or drops out, and which has high photocatalytic activity. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A solution in which a complex titanium compound is mixed with an aqueous solvent to be hydrolyzed, is heated at 30-150°C, thereafter a side reaction object and a residual raw material are removed, and thereby the titanium oxide particle dispersion liquid is obtained.
