PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a locker device having both high adaptability and security. SOLUTION: This locker device which authenticates the user according to the information on the fingerprint of the user for unlocking, includes a fingerprint reader 4 for reading the information on the fingerprint of the user, a touch panel 6 for accepting the input of a password by the user, and a control part 5 which pre-registers the input password and the information on the read fingerprint, authenticates that the person who uses the locker device is the user by comparing the registered information on the fingerprint with the information on the fingerprint read after the registration, and determines whether the fingerprint reader 4 correctly reads the information on the fingerprint or not. Only when the information on the fingerprint is determined to be not read correctly, the password can be registered. Only when the password is pre-registered, it is authenticated that the person who uses the locking device is the user by comparing the registered password with the password input by the user after the registration.
