<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power supply adapter having functions for determining, learning and setting a standby time of electric apparatus and saving standby power and power measurement/display functions, and which can save power and contribute to an environment problem. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The power-saving power supply adapter has an input connection section, an output connection section, a usage measurement section, a switch for performing supply or breaking of electricity, a display section, a CPU control section, and a power supply. A standby time control portion prepared in the CPU control section determines the beginning and an end of the standby time of the electric apparatus, and reduces standby power consumed by the electric apparatus by turning off a switch during the standby time.
