<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display a good virtual image with no distortion, even when the height of the observer's eyes changes. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The head-up display 300 includes an optical unit 16 having an image display section to display an image and a lens optical system to receive image display light from the image display section. The lens optical system includes, in order from the image display section side, a first convex lens group, a second convex lens group and a third convex lens group constituted such that the lens diameter and lens pitch of the convex lens elements of the groups may become larger. The head-up display 300 includes: a moving mechanism for moving the optical unit 16 so that the incident angle of the image display light made incident on the windshield 32 may be changed; and a second optical path-correcting member 304 disposed between the optical unit 16 and the windshield 32. The second optical path-correcting member 304 is configured to correct the distortion varied in accordance with the incident position and incident angle of the image display light thereon.
