<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spinning reel for fishing which can avoid troubles caused by cruel use of its drag in fishing for good control operability on drag force and performance maintenance. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A friction plate 32, a braking plate 33, a friction plate 32, a braking plate 34, a friction plate 32, a braking plate 33, and a friction plate 32 of a braking member A are contained in the opening containing section 7c of a spool 7. A pushing section 35 formed of a dish-shaped click plate 34 and a dish-shaped spring holder for click of a click mechanism B is contained in an opening section 7e formed of a dent section. In the dish-shaped click plate 34, a click uneven section 34d is formed on the axial front side of the inner circumference of the cylinder section 34b and a circular inner circumference surface 34e is formed on the axial back side of the inner circumference of the cylinder section 34b. The width W in the axial direction from an inner bottom surface 34f to the circular inner circumference surface 34e is set to be W>t with respect to a thickness t of the pushing section 35.
