<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fishing line having high strength, high elastic modulus, low elongation, improved knot strength and fibrillation resistance and excellent heat-resistance. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The fishing line is formed from a melt anisotropic polyester-amide fiber composed of an aromatic polyester-amide which has a moiety composed of repeating constituent units of formulas [A], [B], [C], [D] and [E] in an amount of ≥90 mol%.
