<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rack and pinion type steering device capable of controlling an increase in backlash with a temperature rise and receiving a large load reliably. <P>SOLUTION: The rack pinion type steering device includes a roller 21 that is rollingly in contact with the back 5a of a rack shaft 5 to regulate oscillation of the shaft 5 around the axis, a roller support part 23 including a needle bearing 22 that supports the roller 21, an elastic member 24 that biases the roller support part 23 in such a direction as to bring the roller 21 into contact with the rack shaft 5, and a housing 20 that houses the roller 21, the roller support part 23, and the elastic member 24 and directly receives the roller support part 23 in a state in which energy is accumulated in the elastic member 24 between the housing 20 and the roller support part 23. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
