PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multiphoton absorbing material containing composite metal nanoparticles for generating a plasmon enhancement field, a reaction aid that is contained in the multiphoton absorbing material and is formed of the composite metal nanoparticles for enhancing the reaction of the multiphoton absorbing material, and a method for manufacturing them. SOLUTION: The composite metal nanoparticles are produced by anisotropically growing silver on a gold nano rod surface by a reduction reaction of growth solution containing gold nano rod, silver nitrate, ascorbic acid, and amines. The sensitivity of the multiphoton absorbing material is increased or the reaction of the multiphoton absorbing material is enhanced using further strong surface plasmon enhancement field included in the anisotropically grown silver coating particulates. The multiphoton absorbing material or reaction aid containing the composite metal nanoparticles is applied to a three-dimensional multilayer optical memory, a material for light shaping, and a two-photon fluorescent microscope.
