PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a hot dip galvannealed steel sheet whose workability can be improved while reducing a heat energy loss by eliminating an annealing process. SOLUTION: A low carbon Al killed steel is hot-rolled at an Ar<SB>3</SB>transformation point or above, is subjected to first temper rolling at an elongation percentage of 0 to 0.5%, is heated to a galvanizing bath temperature and galvanized by a continuous hot dip galvanizing line, is subjected to alloying heating treatment at 460 to 600°C for 5 to 15 s, and is thereafter subjected to second temper rolling at an elongation percentage of 0.5 to 1.5%.
