PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connecting rod bearing capable of preventing intrusion of large size foreign materials included in lubricating oil, which is fed to the connecting rod bearing of an internal combustion engine, into an inner peripheral clearance of the connecting rod bearing without discharging the large size foreign material from the connecting rod bearing. SOLUTION: In this connecting rod bearing, an inner peripheral surface of at least one semicircular bearing 24 is formed with a circumferential groove 24C so as to coincide with the position of an outlet 20A of a lubricating oil passage 20 inside a crank pin 12 from at least one end surface 24A of two abutment surfaces 24A and 24B relative to a mating bearing 26 toward a central part in the circumferential direction of the bearing. The End surface 24A is directed in the same direction as the rotating direction of the crank pin. Depth of the circumferential groove is 0.1-0.8 mm, and groove length in the circumferential direction of the bearing is equal or more than the diameter of the lubricating oil outlet in the circumferential direction of the bearing, and the maximum length limit is a length corresponding to 45 degree of circumferential angle of the bearing starting from the end surface 24A. Groove width is 1/2 or more than the diameter of the lubricating oil outlet in the axial direction of the bearing. About the maximum groove width limit, any of width in the axial directional of the inner peripheral surface of the bearing not formed with a groove left on both sides of the circumferential groove is set at 2 mm.
