<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an actuator mounting structure of an EGR cooler wherein the mounting height of an actuator is restrained, about the EGR cooler capable of bypassing exhaust gas while avoiding the EGR cooler. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The actuator mounting structure of the EGR cooler includes the actuator, arranged at an upper part of a fixed bracket, for driving a movable rod based on a control instruction from an engine and a bypass switch valve 30 for forming a flow passage for bypassing the EGR cooler when the exhaust gas from the engine is at a low temperature and for switching to a flow passage for flowing the EGR cooler when the exhaust gas is at a high temperature by valve operation by drive of the movable rod. A protruding part 50 is formed in an upper surface part 36 of a shell 4 and a shaft part of a bolt 26 is protruded upward from a hole part arranged for this protruding part and a head part 25 of this bolt is closely adhered and fixed on a back surface of the protruding part, a nut 27 is fastened by fitting the hole part arranged in the fixed bracket to the shaft part of the bolt 26 and thus the fixed bracket is fixed to the upper part of the protruding part.
