<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To considerably reduce labor to clean a chimney without needing excessive cost with respect to the chimney for a burning appliance. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In this chimney 2 for the burning appliance, connected with the burning appliance 1 at its basic end side, disposed outdoors at its tip side, and having a flue of the prescribed shape, composed of a plurality of metallic cylindrical bodies 21A to guide the exhaust generated by the combustion of the burning appliance 1 outdoors, a heat insulating layer 211 of a thickness of 0.3-1.5 mm formed by applying a prescribed coating material which has heat conductivity of 0.12 W/(m*K) or less after drying, is formed on at least an inner peripheral face of the cylindrical bodies 21A configuring the flue of a prescribed part on which soot and tar are easily accumulated.
