<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure sufficient cooling water quantity all the time in regard to a condensation unit for cooling and condensing steam as exhaust from a steam turbine for condensation in a thermal power station. Ž<P>SOLUTION: With a first condensation part first inlet valve 46 opened, a first condensation part second inlet valve 47 closed, a first condensation part first outlet valve 48 opened, a first condensation part second outlet valve 49 closed, a cooling water pump 21 operated and cooling water flowing in the direction shown by the arrow A1, when switching operation is performed, the first condensation part first outlet valve 48 becomes closed, the first condensation part first inlet valve 46 closed, the first condensation part second inlet valve 47 opened and the first condensation part second outlet valve 49 opened.
