<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To further inexpensively manufacture a ratchet for applying desired brake force. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This ratchet is formed so that rotation in the counterclockwise direction of a rotary member 10 rotatable around one axis, receives the brake force by a claw part 13 elastically engaged with an engaging tooth part 21 of a gear 2. An arm part 12 of the rotary member 10 extends in the clockwise direction along the outer periphery of a body part 11 on the outside in the radial direction of the body part 11. The rotary member 10 receives the brake force corresponding to easiness-to-perform-elastic deformation by rotating while elastically deforming the tip 12a side of the arm part 12 provided with the claw part 13 projecting to the engaging tooth part 21 side, to the body part 11 side with the base end 12b connected to the body part 11 as a fulcrum, when inputting rotational torque. Installation positions P1-P5 of a screw N are set in a plurality along the peripheral direction of the body part between the body part 11 and the arm part 12, and the arm part 12 is elastically deformed with the installation position P1-P5 for inserting the screw N as a fulcrum.
