<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tangled hair removing instrument which is safe while having a simple structure, and also, can reduce an uncomfortable feeling given to an animal in tangled hair-removing work. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This tangled hair removing instrument 1 is equipped with a grip part 2, and a hook-like cutter part 12 which is installed on one end part of the grip part. The distal end part 14 of the hook-like cutter part is formed into an approximately hemisphere surface shape, and the hook-like cutter part has a blade part 13 which is installed under a recessed curve shape along the inner peripheral part from a position which is slightly inside from the distal end part. Also, the hook-like cutter part is formed into a protruding curve shape from a planar view, and at the same time, the shape of the outer peripheral side from a side view is formed into a protruding curved surface shape with roundness. On the proximal end part 15 of the hook-like cutter part, a bulged part 16 for preventing fingers from being inserted in the opening OP of the hook-like cutter part is formed.
