PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flux-cored wire for gas shielded arc welding which is excellent in arc state, is less in spatter generation, is free from any slag housing irregularity and slag seizure, and can obtain excellent slag peelability and bead appearance. SOLUTION: The wire has a composition consisting of, by total mass% of the wire, 0.03-0.12% C, 0.5-1.5% Si, and 1.5-4.0% Mn in the total of either or both of a steel shell and flux. Flux contains 1.0-2.5% Ti oxide in terms of TiO<SB>2</SB>, 0.2-2.0% Si oxide in terms of SiO<SB>2</SB>, 0.05-0.70% Zr oxide in terms of ZrO<SB>2</SB>, 2-15% iron powder with the oxygen amount being ≤0.25%, ≤0.1% fluorine compound in terms of F, ≤0.2% Mg, and 1.5-4.5% total amount of slag forming agents containing fluorine compound, and the balance mainly consisting of Fe part of the steel shell, and Fe part of iron alloy powder with inevitable impurities.
