<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a non-lead piezoelectric ceramic and a piezoelectric element having little variation of piezoelectric properties around a room temperature. <P>SOLUTION: The piezoelectric ceramic has a compositional formula denoted as (1-x)(Na<SB>a</SB>K<SB>1-a</SB>)<SB>1-b</SB>Li<SB>b</SB>NbO<SB>3</SB>+xBa(Ca<SB>0.5</SB>Te<SB>0.5</SB>)O<SB>3</SB>(wherein, a, b and x are satisfied with 0.42≤a≤0.58, 0.03≤b≤0.15 and 0.0005≤x≤0.0100, respectively). In a piezoelectric ceramic of which the composition is (Na<SB>a</SB>K<SB>1-a</SB>)<SB>1-b</SB>Li<SB>b</SB>NbO<SB>3</SB>, the piezoelectric properties are suddenly varied in the range of -40 to +100°C due to a phase transition point existing around room temperature, but in the piezoelectric ceramic, the piezoelectric properties are moderately varied in the range of -40 to +100°C. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
