<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing device including a developer storage chamber disposed below a developer carrier, which can be reduced in size while suppressing image failure by supplying a sufficient amount of developer to the developer carrier, and a process cartridge provided with the same. <P>SOLUTION: In a developing unit 4 configured to supply toner to a developing roller 17 through an opening part 18c formed above a toner storage chamber 18a, an elastic sheet part 22a is rotatably supported in the toner storage chamber 18a, a deformation part 18a2 for deforming the sheet part 22a, a restoration part 18a4 for restoring the shape of the sheet part 22a, and a contact part 26a abutting on a part of the sheet part 22a are formed on the inner wall of the toner storage chamber 18a. The toner is caused to fly to the opening part 18c by restoring the sheet part 22a, and the sheet part 22a is deformable to the downstream side in the rotating direction while being in contact with the contact part 26a since the contact part 26a is located below the opening part 18c. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
