PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a material yard management system that can automate physical position management of materials while implementing a flexible yard operation. SOLUTION: The material yard management system includes an RFID tag attached to each of a plurality of movable supports disposed in a yard to fix materials in the yard and holding support number data identifying the support, an RFID reader disposed on a transfer means for moving the materials to read the support number data held through radio communication with the RFID tag and transmit the support number data read, and a matching means for transmitting yard storage/retrieval instruction data specifying a material number to the operator terminal of the transfer means, receiving the support number data transmitted from the RFID reader upon a transfer operation based on the yard storage/retrieval instruction, and matching the material number data with the received support number data.
