METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR MANUFACTURING DEGRADED PRODUCT OF PLASTIC

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance a yield of a degraded product containing a constituting monomer in a thermal degradation recovery of a plastic utilizing a microwave heat generator.

SOLUTION: The method is for degrading a plastic to manufacture a degraded product containing its constituting monomer. In the method, a mixture in which the plastic and the microwave heat generator are fully contacted with each other in a reaction vessel is irradiated with a microwave, whereby when the plastic thermally degrades, the mixture is agitated in the reaction vessel.
