<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image pick-up device which can make a sound that follows operations subsequent to photographing inconspicuous, without imposing a load on a photographer. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The image pick-up device includes an image pick-up means which picks up an image formed by an incident subject light; a movable member-driving means which drives a movable member that guides the subject light to the image pick-up means when the image is picked up by the image pick-up means; a sound-detecting means which detects a peripheral sound; and a control means which stops the operation of the movable member-driving means, when the level of the sound detected by the sound-detecting means does not reach the threshold, after the photographing by the image pick-up means is finished.
