PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent damage to a main filter caused by propagation of abnormal pulsation generated by driving of a feed pump to a main filter for filtering fuel through a fuel passage. SOLUTION: When the abnormal pulsation is generated, a piston 58 is displaced by an increase in fuel pressure in an upstream fuel passage 44, thereby a valve chamber 46 and a downstream fuel passage 48 are disconnected from each other, and also the portion of a return passage 50 on the side of the valve chamber 46 communicates with the valve chamber 46 through a sub-passage 64. The abnormal pulsation is introduced to the return passage 50, and the abnormal pulsation is reduced by the damping effect of a damping mechanism 55 and flow restricting effects of orifices 56.
