Coolant flows in a circuit (14) via the expansion valve (16) to the heat exchanger (12). Coolant evaporates at a temperature differing from that in the chamber (10). The differential ( DELTA t) largely excludes condensation onto the heat exchanger. Flow rate of coolant to the compressor (18) is controlled by a valve (24) in its suction line (28). This valve is controlled by the chamber temperature. An Independent claim is included for the coolant circuit operating as described. PREFERRED FEATURES:- The compressor is protected against overload by a valve (26) following the control valve. The expansion valve is alternatively controlled from the temperature and/or pressure of coolant extracted from the heat exchanger. |
