<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automobile capable of more properly suppressing vibration of a structure on a spring and a control method thereof. <P>SOLUTION: When maximum output request torque Tmmax is not more than a value obtained by subtracting margin α from positive torque Tlimmax of rated torque of a motor MG2, and minimum output request torque Tmmin is not less than a value obtained by adding margin α to negative torque Tlimmin of rated torque of the motor MG2, motor torque command Tm2* is set (S200) as a value obtained by limiting output request torque Tm with torque limit Tmin, Tmax.
