<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vessel propulsion system improving operability when finely controlling the movement of a ship, while suppressing complication of structure. <P>SOLUTION: The vessel propulsion system includes an operation lever 102 for instructing a shift state and propulsion force to an outboard motor 300, two lever position sensors 102c, 102d detecting the position of the operation lever, and a hull ECU 104 controlling the shift state and the propulsion force of the outboard motor 300 based on detection results of the lever position sensors 102c, 102d. The hull ECU 104 sets target pivoting speed according to relative positions of the two operation levers based on the detection results of the two lever position sensors 102c, 102d, and sets target travel speed according to the displacement amount from neutral positions of those. The hull ECU 104 controls each steering angle, the shift state, and the propulsion force of the outboard motor 300 to achieve the target pivoting speed and the target travel speed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
