<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cartridge, smoothly removable from a storing chamber while holding down backlash while being mounted to the storing chamber of an image forming apparatus body to the necessary minimum. <P>SOLUTION: The cartridge 3 is freely removable from the storing chamber 10 divided by a pair of dividing surfaces 9 along the vertical direction perpendicular to the opposite directions (the width direction) of the pair of dividing surfaces 9. In a casing 22 of the cartridge 3, the uppermost upstream end 50 in the direction of mounting the cartridge 3 to the storing chamber 10 exists in a part contacting both of the pair of dividing surfaces 9. When being viewed in the longitudinal direction, the contour of the left side 22L of the casing 22 is disposed inside a first circular arc 51 taking the right end 53 of the uppermost upstream end 50 as the center of curvature and taking a segment 55 connecting both ends in the width direction of the uppermost upstream end 50 as the radius of curvature. When being viewed in the longitudinal direction, the contour of the right side 22R of the casing 22 is disposed inside a second circular arc 52 taking the left end 54 of the uppermost upstream end 50 as the center of curvature and taking the segment 55 as the radius of curvature. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
