PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a selective detector for a steel-made weapon capable of selectively and surely detecting only a sharp steel-made weapon. SOLUTION: The selective detector for the steel-made weapon for selectively detecting the steel-made weapon having a steel-made leading edge includes a sensor part 2 for the steel-made weapon, a variable magnetic field generating coil 3 provided in the sensor part 2, a magnetic sensor 4 provided in the sensor part 2 for detecting a magnetic pole field caused by change in magnetic flux occurring at the leading edge of the steel-made weapon by a magnetic field generated by the variable magnetic field generating coil 3, and a distinction/display device 5 of the steel-made weapon for discriminating the steel-made weapon by output voltage of the magnetic sensor 4.
