PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for stably and efficiently producing a propylene/ethylene-1-butene block copolymer excellent in impact resistance having an ethylene-1-butene copolymer rubber component portion having a high butene content while maintaining industrially applicable particle properties. SOLUTION: This production method of the propylene/ethylene-1-butene block copolymer is a method for producing a propylene/ethylene-1-butene block copolymer satisfying the following requirements (a) to (c) by a successive polymerization comprising: a first process for producing a crystalline propylene polymer component using a supported metallocene catalyst; and a second process for producing an ethylene-1-butene copolymer component (CP) by a vapor phase polymerization. (a) The content of the copolymer component (CP) is 5 to 90% by mass, based on the mass of the whole propylene/ethylene-1-butene block copolymer, (b) the copolymer component (CP) has a butene content of 25 to 50 mol%, and (c) the copolymer component (CP) has an intrinsic viscosity [η] of 0.5 to 3.0 dl/g measured at 135°C in tetralin.
