<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain productivity even when a filling step performed after an opening step takes a time longer than that in other steps as to an intermittent rotary table type package processing apparatus. Ž<P>SOLUTION: An opening guide 15 reciprocally moves between a stop position III and a first intermediate position set between the position III and a stop position IV and is lowered at the position III and inserted in a bag mouth, moved with the bag 3 in the bag mouth open condition, raised to be pulled out from the bag 3 at the first intermediate position, and then returned to the stop position III. A hopper 7 reciprocally moves between a second intermediate position set between the position III and the first intermediate position and the third intermediate position set between the position IV and a stop position V and is lowered at the second intermediate position and inserted in the bag mouth of the bag 3, moved with the bag 3, raised to be pulled out from the bag mouth at the third intermediate position, and returned to the second intermediate position.
