<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inorganic oxide dispersion for providing resin composite materials excellent in moldability and having good transparency and high refractive indexes, to provide a method for producing the same, and to provide a transparent composite material using the dispersion. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The inorganic oxide dispersion containing an inorganic oxide whose surface is modified with a surface treating agent having a reactive group is characterized in that the surface treating agent having a reactive group is a silane coupling agent (1) having a styryl group, vinyl group, acryloyl group or methacryloyl group, and contains styrene.
