<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a broadcast receiver for appropriately determining whether to perform bulk reception utilizing a plurality of tuners so as to efficiently utilize the tuners, with respect to the broadcast receiver which is configured to perform bulk reception. <P>SOLUTION: The broadcast receiver determines whether it is necessary to perform bulk reception, based on information, such as, the resolution of a conventional program, resolution of a bulk type program, panel resolution as receiver spec information, and the like. When bulk reception is not performed, the conventional program using one tuner is received, thereby the number of tuners to be used is reduced. Thus, tuners can be utilized efficiently, such as, suppressing power consumption by powering off the tuners not to be used, performing expected program selection or different-channel program video-recording using a free tuner. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
