<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cleaning method for preventing the re-contamination of a cleaning solvent in heavily greasy work clothing and simultaneously removing even water-soluble stain without increasing a cleaning frequency; and also to provide a zero-emission type cleaning apparatus for collecting and reusing the solvent substantially without using thermal energy in cleaning or collecting and reusing even an aqueous solvent to be used. <P>SOLUTION: In the cleaning method, the working clothing is washed using a mixture solution, the mixture solution containing a hydrocarbon system solvent (abbreviated as an O-solution) and an alkaline water solution (abbreviated as an A-solution), and then, dried by performing centrifugal desolvation and repetitive water-washing and dehydrating.
