<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To create a screen in an eye-friendly layout by preventing superimposed display as much as possible when simultaneously displaying a caption and presentation information on a screen for image display. <P>SOLUTION: A screen is sectionalized lengthwise and widthwise into "A" to "M" areas. Staying away from the "H" and other areas wherein a caption is to be displayed, the "A" and other areas, for example, are selected and presentation information is displayed on these areas. For areas to display the presentation information, they can be selected in the order of smallest to largest history of caption display, or they can be selected in the order of the highest to lowest priority level set in advance for each area. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
