<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that an accessory portion can not comprehend the state of a body portion and proper operation can not be performed. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The body portion of an electronic apparatus and its accessory portion are connected via a communication line and for a voltage of a power source of the body portion, a voltage range to disable the body portion from operating and a voltage range to enable the body portion to operate are determined. A control section of the accessory portion has a power supply voltage monitor line for monitoring the voltage of the power source of the body portion, and the control section monitors the voltage of the power source of the body portion via the power supply voltage monitor line. When the voltage of the power source is settled within the voltage range to disable the body portion from operating, a display portion displays thereon the state where the body portion is disabled from normally operating, and when the voltage of the power source is recovered within the voltage range to enable the body portion to operate, the display portion displays thereon the state where the body portion is enabled to normally operate.
