<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To recognize whether lock work by a screw type lock mechanism is normal. Ž<P>SOLUTION: When rotating a bolt 12 in the fastening direction from an external part (the lower side), an inside nut 13 is rotated together, and is held in a lock position by a stopper. The nut 13 strokes up to the lock position toward a lock base 11 by further rotation in the fastening direction of the bolt 12, and pinches a vehicle body side lock plate 3 between the nut 13 and the lock base 11, and can lock a battery attached with the screw type lock mechanism 1 on a vehicle body. For recognizing the rotation to the lock position of the nut 13 from the external part, a first pin 21 is slidably arranged in the lateral direction on the lock plate 3, and a second pin 22 is slidably inserted in the vertical direction into the lock base 11. The nut 13 pushes the first pin 21 when rotating to the lock position, and the second pin 22 recognizes the rotation to the lock position of the nut 13 from a state of projecting a lower end surface 22b from the lock base 11 in response to this operation.
