<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a construction machine which has a working attachment attached to a leading end of a bendable working arm, and which can efficiently perform work while securing the stability of a machine body. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A control unit 17 of a demolition work machine 1 includes: an operation position computing portion 42 which detects an attachment position P; an operation range determination portion 43 which determines an allowable operation range capable of securing a stability attitude of a machine body on the basis of the attachment position P; a load computing portion 45 which computes a load value F as an external force acting on the working attachment; and an overload determination portion 46 which determines a machine body balance on the basis of the load value F computed by the load computing portion 45, and which issues an alert associated with the determination of the presence of the risk of deteriorating the stable attitude.
