<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an unconventional new method for tying obi, leading to reduction of difficult parts in making Nagoya Obi and double-woven Obi. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The method for tying obi for Nagoya Obi includes: a process of diagonally folding one angle B of a tail end B-B line of Obi of about 30 cm Obi width to make sure a place A-A line of 30 cm from the tail end B-B line; a process of folding a tail end on the place A-A line to make sure a place C-C line to be superposed on the tail end B-B line; a process of folding like folding screen the tail end folded on the place C-C line; a process of dividing the surface folded like folding screen into three to make sure a place D-D line of two-thirds from the place C-C line; and a process of small folding, while extending the tail end folded like folding screen, the place D-D line to insert a cord R into followed by clipping the inserted cord R on D and D parts.
