<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem of malfunction due to attachment of water drops scattering from a cooking container to an operation range of a switch. <P>SOLUTION: An inclined range 12 is formed on a part of a top plate 5 as an inclined top face 12a, and a touch switch 16 is disposed on the back of the top plate. The touch switch 16 reacts only when it is continuously kept into contact with an operation range 13 for the shortest duration. The water drops 20 scattering from the cooking container 6 and reaching the inclined range 12 flows along the inclined top face 12a. The steeper an inclination angle is, the shorter a flowing time of the water drops is. The inclination angle of at least the operation range 13 of the inclined top face 12a is set to an angle satisfying the relationship, that is, a time necessary for the water drops 20 scattering from a water surface in the cooking container to pass through the operation range 13 is less than the shortest duration of the touch switch 16 when the water in the cooking container 6 is boiled with the maximum heating quantity of a heating device 3.
